The Music Man (again!)

There's really nothing better for a barbershop quartet than a chance to perform in The Music Man. We are now fortunate enough to have done it twice!

We just finished a production with Live Arts Maryland in Annapolis this weekend with a great cast and an amazing orchestra and chorus. The show came together quickly and was a great success. If you haven't seen any of their productions be sure to check them out.

A Long December

It was a busy December, with private performances at parties and senior centers, Tuba Christmas, Baltimore Outreach (on Raven's game day no less!), and a whirlwind tour through Catonsville that took as to eleven different parties to spread the Christmas cheer. The flash mob with Sons of the Severn at Arundel Mills Mall was a blast too! We wrapped up the year last night with an incredible opportunity to share the stage with some truly great quartets at the Chorus of the Chesapeake's Christmas party.

All in all it's been an amazing year. We'll take a little time off for the holidays and then its back to work on some new material. We're planning to compete this year at Division in June, so it's time to get serious. No really, we can be serious. A little.

New Christmas Video

After months of work in the studio, our new Christmas video is finally ready. The hours of dance training were brutal and the injuries plentiful, but it all paid off in the finished product.

No Bull

We were back in Catonsville this week to sing at Matt and Zena's wedding. What a party! Let's just say that the bar has been set high for all future wedding receptions.

Jeff's extensive training in animal sciences really paid off when we took a shot at the mechanical bull. Tom was able to stay on all the way up to the point when it started moving. The other guys suddenly remembered they had important things to do elsewhere.

All in all a great time was had by all. We wish the bride and groom health and happiness and want them to know we've already cleared our calendars for the one-year anniversary party.

Catonsville Arts Fest

Once again, we'll be singing at the Catonsville Arts Festival. The festival is on Sunday, September 13th. We sing at 1:00 on Main Street near the fire house.

Free Concert in Catonsville

We're singing at the Heart of Maryland's show this weekend at the Lurman Theatre in Catonsville. This is a free concert with the chorus and guest quartets. The show starts at 6pm and we're singing in the first half. This is an outdoor show, so bring your blanket or chairs and something cool to drink.

Harmony College East

We're back from our long weekend at Harmony College East. We had excellent coaching this year in singing, interpretation, and presentation and we can't wait to work some of this into our next performances. We were lucky enough to share our coaches with The Corner 4, a quartet from the Sons of the Severn Chorus. These guys are going places!

We'll be singing with the chorus at the Sons of the Severn NCEON benefit show this Sunday. Stop by to support a great cause.

Flag Day, Fort McHenry

We'll be singing at Fort McHenry for the Flag Day celebration on June 14th. This is part of a free concert sponsored by the American Flag Foundation. Come for the singing and stay for the fireworks.

It was a busy month starting with the Heart of Maryland's Lasagna with Barbershop show. Check out the cool shades for Under the Boardwalk.

This month we also sang the National Anthem for 1500 people at the Baltimore Area Federal Awards Lunch. It's just a short step from there to Camden Yards.

A Busy March

We've had our own March Madness, with weekends full of singing engagements. Our latest performance gave us a chance to connect with some old friends from the Music Man.

Catonsville Show on January 31st

3 Wise Men will be performing in Catonsville at a fundraiser for the CUMCwhats vocal sextet. Join us for an evening of music to support the CUMCwhats performance at Carnegie Hall in June. The show will be at the Catonsville United Methodist Church Social Hall on January 31st starting at 7pm. Contact the quartet for tickets.

Toys for Tots in Bethesda

Check us out at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bethesda as part of the Toys for Tots mega-jam. The party starts at 7pm and features musicians from all over the Washington area. We'll have classic rock from Breakaway and live jazz. There is no cover, but your donation of an unwrapped toy will be appreciated. More information can be found here.

Tuba Christmas

3 Wise Men will sing Christmas carols with the Heart of Maryland Chorus this Saturday at Baltimore Harborplace. The chorus will perform at 3:00, just before the start of Tuba Christmas. We may even pop out of the chorus to do a quartet number or two.
